While staying with us, you can go out exploring the Great Lake with your skipper and host Ivan on our charter boat Pooh Bear III.
Enjoy a great days fishing for the trophy sized Rainbow Trout that Lake Taupo is so famous for. You’ll even get the opportunity to clean and cook your catch on board. Ivan is happy to show you how!
Our boat is fully equipped with rods, reels, tackle, lifejackets and whatever else you need for a great day on the lake. But it doesn’t have to be all about fishing! Lake Taupo offers great scenery too, from the town to the cliffs and the majestic mountains in the distance.
We can take out six people at a time for a trip and we usually go out for at least three hours. Please ask at reception about cost and possibilities.
